Please come with any questions you might have and if we have enough time you can join us on the live feed.
Meredith Blanchard is a policy coordinator at the Humane Society of the United States working at the local and state level to stop the cruel puppy mill industry. After receiving a B.S. in Zoology and working with the animal sheltering community in her home state of Colorado, Meredith realized that to tackle animal cruelty on a large scale she needed to work legislatively. She completed a M.S. in Animals and Public Policy at Tufts University and went right to work in D.C., talking with legislators about topics ranging from exotic pets to wildlife trapping. Meredith has been with the Stop Puppy Mills Campaign at HSUS for a little over a year and is continually invigorated by the progress being made at the local and state level to end puppy mills.
